For those of you who don't know, I'm Bigguy, also known as ZeroFan. I recently (if you can call a few months ago "recently") finished a video game called Persona 4 Golden. This sparked my interest in other MegaTen games, and I have since become very involved with them.
(WARNING: SPOILERS OF PERSONA 4 GOLDEN ABOUND HERE. ALL OF THEM ARE EARLY-GAME, BUT I THOUGHT I SHOULD WARN YOU.)
Today, I realized that theoretically, we could have Personae of our own. (On a completely unrelated note, it is really fucking hard to blog from a tablet.) For the uninitiated among those reading this, persona is Latin for "person." In the Persona series, the term takes the meaning of religious beings summoned from the Sea of Souls. Thing is, at their base, a Persona could be considered an incredibly complex construct of psychic energy. AKA what the Teen Oracles fight with.
In the game I played, Personae were recieved through a extremely dangerous process which was actually attempted murder. Basically, Persona users could physically insert themselves or others inside TVs. If someone without a Persona was thrown in, their Shadow--a physical representation of their repressed thoughts and emotions--would emerge from them and attempt to make them deny it being part of them. If the Shadow succeeded, it would become a separate entity, which generally devoured its host. On the other hand, if the host accepted the Shadow, it would become a Persona.
I was thinking that we could probably form Personae of our own. If we did, though, we'd probably need a specialized process. Anyone willing to assist me with this project is welcome.
Anyway, just some food for thought. I don't want to type on this things any longer than I have to, so I'm gonna wrap this up now.
